Get to Know Angell Capital Management

Scott founded Angell Capital Management in 2000 to bring the independence of public accounting to the delivery of financial services. He is an advocate and enjoys working with clients to achieve their dreams and overcome their challenges. A big believer in investing in technology, Scott prefers to use these capabilities to enhance his interactions with clients as the relationship develops. 

Scott remains actively involved with his clients on a daily basis and truly enjoys spending time with them. Whether it is in the Angell Capital offices, client’s homes or a local coffee shop, he is adaptable to the needs and schedules of those he works with. When meeting face-to-face becomes impossible, he looks forward to connecting over the phone or virtually to guide client’s ever-changing needs. 

Growing up in Missouri, Scott has deep local roots. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from William Jewell College and was awarded his Certified Public Accountant certificate in 1989. His accountancy focus remains on financial, tax and estate planning. He also maintains memberships with the Investments & Wealth Institute and the Financial Planning Association.

Outside of the office, Scott enjoys watching sporting events from the local high school to the Missouri Tigers and Kansas City Chiefs. In recent years, he coached high school track and cross country and has a true passion for being on the sidelines. Scott brings this same athletic work ethic and dedication to his clients at Angell Capital Management. He has also served in various community leadership roles over the years. These have included the Boone County Fair Board, the Centralia School Board, the Immanuel Lutheran School Board and various church leadership positions. Scott and his wife enjoy supporting causes that make a difference in people’s lives and remain passionate about their local community in Columbia, Missouri.

Jason joined Angell Capital Management in 2010 and is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of his client’s financial and investment plans. From researching a planning or investment strategy to analyzing a client’s current assets and liabilities, Jason is dedicated to discussing the needs of those he works with as he builds a lifelong partnership with them. 

Discussing client’s goals and values in helping them define what really matters to them is an honor and responsibility that Jason does not take lightly. Having worked for a larger investment firm in the past, he considers it a blessing to be a trusted advisor in the lives of his clients, working with them closely to adapt their plans over time to meet their goals and enjoy a life well-lived. 

Jason received his bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in financial planning and investments and a minor in economics from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. He is a lifelong learner and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP^®).

Jason enjoys living in St. Charles with his wife, Jessica and their three boys. Together, they are active in their church community at Immanuel Lutheran Church and School and love experiencing the St. Charles area. Jason also enjoys reading and playing guitar in his free time.
